Love and good wishes to everyone for an inspiring and creative new year! Happy 2017!
Cavalier Gallery presents, Message in a Bottle, a special exhibition guest curated by Lori Zimmer of Art Nerd New York. This group show will be exhibited in our Nantucket gallery from July 3rd to July 21st, with an opening reception on Thursday, July 3rd from 5-7pm. Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Art Nerd, Lori Zimmer brings her curatorial eye to explore this romantic tradition of hoping for the sea and destiny to deliver a love letter to one’s beloved. Transforming part of the gallery into a maritime ship chandlery, visitors will view modern “messages in bottles,” created by contemporary artists in their unique styles. The show focuses on Brooklyn-based Beau Stanton and several of his contemporaries to bring this nostalgic activity to our age. A previous version of Message in a Bottle was presented at SCOPE Miami art fair to a captivated crowd. Each artist has created their own message in various mediums, just waiting for someone to let them out of their container. The whole exhibition is an intriguing experience, as we consider the messages and how they relate to our own emotions, whether they are bottled up inside or out in the open. Beau Stanton is joined by Logan Hicks, Allison Sommers, Elizabeth Winnel, Jack Bratman, Jud Bergeron, Jon Burgerman, Vahge, Molly Crabapple, Ewelina Koszykowska, Debranne Cingari, Ofelia Marquez, and Shark Toof.

I'm so proud to announce my collaboration with the Williamsburg, Brooklyn based women's fashion boutique, Brooklyn Fox! I designed and produced a hand crafted holiday window display, which was shown in all three of Brooklyn Fox's windows over the holiday season. Please look at my 2014 Work section to see the results, with more pics to come! I am very happy with the outcome, and pleased to have worked with such a cool bunch of ladies. Thanks to Brooklyn Fox for providing the space, Lori Zimmer for putting this all together, and my sweet Timatim Fitfit, for helping me get it to fruition!
Art Basel begins this week, and with it comes the opening of "Message in a Bottle," an amazing group show curated by Lori Zimmer and hosted by QF Gallery. Part of the SCOPE portion of Basel, "Message in a Bottle" features the works of many of the most talented established and emerging artists, all of whom contributed works based on a nautical theme, using glass sea bottles as the basis of their creations. Please check out the show if you are in the Miami area for Art Basel, or view the works here:

Over the past few years, I was becoming more and more dissatisfied with the look, feel, and internal structure of my old website. I recently found a means to update and redesign the old site, and I am proud to finally unveil a fresh and updated vahge.com, with a cleaner look, a more organized portfolio, and more access to my social media links. Welcome to the new website, please feel free to explore the pages and works!
In honor of the new site, and also as a lead up to my upcoming solo show in September at LowBrow Artique Gallery, here's a sneak peek at one of the new solo show works, "Evie." Enjoy!
